Truth Is Beauty and here’s your duty
Truth is beauty to those who seek the truth.
It’s really OK to say that some things are true. And here’s the secret reason why…
Because they are.
For instance..wouldn’t it be the truth to say that the sun is further away from the earth than the moon is? That wasn’t so hard, was it? And it doesn’t even sound harsh to say so…does it? And wouldn’t it be the truth to say your mother is not the same person as your father? Again…an easy truth. Right? So…where does truth start to get difficult?
At what point do you no longer say truth is beauty?
I think it’s when truth starts to make you mad. For example…if someone says you’re a fatso, and you know you’re not, it doesn’t make you mad because you know it isn’t the truth. But if someone calls you a fatso, and you know you need to lose a bunch of weight, the truth hurts and makes you mad. Deep down you’re probably mad at yourself, but you’re still mad.
But here’s the thing. It’s good to seek the truth and embrace the truth. Even when it takes us somewhere you don’t want to go. And if you’re going to apply the truth to anyone else, you need to be able to apply it to yourself. Once you can do that, fairly, and in love…
Truth is beauty.
Truth is beauty.
Truth is light…
Shining through
Your darkest night.
Truth is wisdom.
Truth is wise…
And not for
Only your eyes.
Truth existed
In the past,
And it will
Forever last.
