The world (defined as all the people and their cultures) would have you (translate: now force you to) believe you live on a sacred Earth. And they’d prefer you didn’t disparage, in any way, the god they worship. And that’s all while they want you to shut up about your God.
Well, that is, if your God is the one who created their “sacred Earth.”
It’s in the news. On the radio and TV. And it’s in the books and magazines. Look all around you. And see a growing hatred of the God who created even those who hate Him. The irony glares, annoyingly, like sunlight from a mirror, directly into your eyes (if they’re truly open).
People who boastfully proclaim “hate crimes” and “tolerance” and “celebrate diversity” regularly share social media posts that reveal their seething hatred and intolerance of Christians. Because Christians dare to say Jesus is the only Way to eternal life in paradise with God. We didn’t establish that arrangement. We just acknowledge the One who did. And we share why He did it.
Look, it comes from the Bible. You don’t have to believe it, let alone trust it. But it IS the best-selling book of all time. And billions of people, over time, have believed AND trusted its eyewitness accounts. So, if you’re gonna be true to your whole your love, tolerance, and diversity “message,” then love, tolerate, and celebrate the diversity that is Christianity.
And how about the tiny ones who haven’t set foot on sacred Earth?
Shouldn’t you care at least as much about them as you care about dirt? My guess is you care about yourself more than dirt. So, why couldn’t you spread some of that love to them?
In other words, don’t dish it out, if you can’t take it. If you truly wanted others to tolerate and accept your deviant behaviors, then you’d at least tolerate theirs. Seems only fair.
And wouldn’t your sacred “mother Earth” prefer you to at least be fair?
I don’t set dates. And I don’t prophesy. But I’m confident that all aberrant (translate: almost always abhorrent) behavior, that denies God’s truth, won’t be tolerated much longer. I pray that’s true.
So, it’s crucial to understand this truth. There IS one, eternal, true, living, loving God who cares for you so much He came to earth as a man to make a way for you to live forever. And that’s something this temporary sacred Earth could never do in a quintillion years.
I wrote a song, years ago, about what’s been lost in this world.
And it talks about some of the terrible consequences of worshipping the creation instead of the Creator. Here’s the first verse and chorus. And I’ll play the whole song in the FunderCast.
Take the truth and lock it up, and throw away the key.
Winds of change are blowing foul; a dance with destiny.
Blur the face of love and sex and say it’s all OK.
Tell the child it’s just a choice and melt her soul away.
Nothin’s sacred anymore.
Can’t we learn from mistakes when they cut to the core?
Nothin’s sacred anymore.
And should we be surprised since we’ve opened that dark, wide door?
Nothin’s sacred anymore.
