Music for business is necessary AND powerful
Can your business afford to ignore a marketing strategy that customers and clients actually enjoy? If you own a business, you need music. I know it sounds wacky to say you need it. But you do. And that even goes for online businesses focused mainly on selling stuff on Amazon. I’ll get back to that and show you what I mean. For now, I want you to understand how music for business is necessary AND powerful.
If you do an online search for the term “music for business”, you’ll see mostly results talking about streaming music services for business. And that’s not what I’m talking about. Those services are OK, but they merely help set a mood and everybody and his pet duck are doing something like that in their brick and mortar business. That’s music for customers and ambience.
Music for business should help you establish your brand.
You’ll hear marketers say over and over how you need to “get in your customer’s head”. And guaranteed, nothing does that better than customized commercial songs. I still remember commercial songs from years ago when I was a kid. I bet you do too. You can probably hear the tune, remember the words, and visualize something about the products that went with those songs. Right?
Imagine how much more your business will stand out from the crowd when your brand is stuck in your customer’s head. It’s not just a phone number, or a website, another one of the billions of pictures on sites like Pinterest, Facebook, and Instagram. Those all become an endless blur. But music customized for your business can get even your competitors humming your tune. And that’s powerful!
Even if your business is selling stuff on Amazon or eBay, you can use music to stand out. The vast majority of online businesses don’t focus on music as a marketing strategy. It’s always an afterthought or not even on the radar. So, when you do, you can sell something other business owners need and your competition is missing.
Music for business is powerful because music is universal.
I know you’ve heard that music is the international language. Why not speak that language and reap the benefits of better brand retention? Like I said…can your business afford to ignore such an effective strategy? If so, I’d like to hear your reasons why. Leave a comment and share them with me.
Stay tuned,
