Last Word In The Bible
Quick…without looking…do you know what the last word in the Bible is?
I’m sure you probably knew it, but I thought it would be an interesting thing to talk about. If you’re a Christian, maybe you also know that sometimes Jesus is called “The Amen”.
That’s pretty cool because “amen” is usually defined to mean “so be it” or “it is so”. Or to describe it in another way…that’s the way it is, end of story, no arguments, please. I’ve heard many people say, “Jesus said it, I believe it, that’s it”. It’s better to say “Jesus said it…that’s it”.
(Can I get a last word in the Bible?)
Look, I know you may be reading this as a non-believer and thinking to yourself “What is it about Christians? They think they’ve got the market cornered on truth.”
Well, we don’t really think that way, but we do know THE Truth. Jesus called Himself that. And here’s your trilemma. Jesus is one of three things…
- liar
- lunatic, or
- Lord
If you say He’s a liar, you’re gonna need to prove it. And I’ll let you in on a little secret…that’s extremely difficult. If you say He’s a lunatic, you’re gonna need to show some credible evidence because the overwhelming majority of eyewitness accounts say He did what we still say He did.
My suggestion is you get to know Jesus as Lord. Your soul and spirit will be reborn to eternal life, and your body will too, eventually.
There’s a good reason the Bible is the best selling book of all time. It’s history, and it’s His Story. Your Creator wants you to know Him and experience the love you need for eternal life. Now, just like the last word in the Bible…can I get an “Amen”?
