Island Day
Back in the early part of the 21st century I was playing music full time in a swanky Bahama style restaurant”Bahama Breeze.
One of the things I really enjoyed was watching the kids get out on the floor and dance to the music. Kids don’t really care all that much about lyrics, messages, and such. They just know the beat moves their feet. And when your feet move, you better move the rest of you so you don’t fall down. (even though sometimes they did fall down) 🙂
I played music from Jimmy Buffett, Bob Marley, UB40, and a bunch, bunch more mon. Every day was an Island Day.
And I played a bunch of my own island inspired summertime music. Here are the lyrics to one that kids seem to like, and just so you know”you can hear it on my free music player”
