“I’m An Optimist and a Realist”, but…

…I prefer optimist.

I see how bad things are. Politicians can’t figure out how to work within a budget. Murder is rampant. Countries go to war at the drop of a misplaced word.

But just because that’s reality doesn’t mean I have to give in and throw my hands up in the air.

I can do something.

But what?

What can a simple singer songwriter do to have any optimistic and positive effects on the world?

Well…

I can sing and write songs about how precious life is…

• about how special our planet is among all the known and unknown parts of the Universe…
• about how wonderful it feels to walk barefoot in a field of grass…
• about how love can erase tears
• about how dreamers make the world bearable

So…wouldn’t you say I’m an optimist?
