The Psalmist sang “I have hidden your word in my heart” to cleanse his heart. To an unbeliever it’s virtually incomprehensible to think hiding words in one’s heart could ever cleanse it. But these are mere words we’re talking about. These are THE Word of God. And remember…with His words the whole universe and everything in it sprang into existence.

Take God’s Word into your heart and keep it there. It will never let you down. Because the Word of God is life to those who seek it. And the Word is all about a Savior. You need Him whether you admit it or not. And He’s ready to come into your heart and give you everlasting life. Here’s my little ode to that powerful and awesome gift…

There’s a place
Where the sun doesn’t shine
But the darkness does not have a part.
And that’s why
I have chosen that place.
I have hidden Your Word in my heart.
There’s a way
I can go there alone,
And I won’t be alone or apart.
You are there
And Your life is in me.
