It’s Saturday evening. And I meant to post this and send it out early this morning. Because I wanted to illustrate how homeschooling can carry on through the weekend. AND, when it’s done with love, kids will actually LUV that.
Here are some homeschooling social media posts that talk about this.
This first post appeals to my sense of Rhyme and Reason:
“Homeschooling enables parents to preserve and prolong their child’s natural sense of wonder and adventure.”
And I love this post that addresses the socialization nonsense anti homeschool dufuses (or is the plural of dufus, dufi? Not sure) love to bring up:
“Homeschooling gets criticized for not socializing the kids And after having 5 , 2 of my own and 3 step, I know how hard the peer pressure and social anxiety was and is for my kids. But now add drugs, sex, and crazy teachers to the mix. No thanks, kids are better at home in a safe sane environment. So, don’t let people tell you public school is better, it’s worse.”
And probably my favorite reason for teaching your kids is found in this post I see some form of all the time:
~ It is written: “train up a child in the way that they should go and when they are old they will not depart from it.” ~
Yeah, that one comes directly from the bestselling book of all time.
Notice how it did NOT say “put your child into a government school so THEY can train up your child?
If you haven’t homeschooled your kids, don’t beat yourself up about it. Because that’s not why I’m writing about this. Heck, I went to “public schools.” Wait, that might be the best reason of all to keep kids out.
Anyway…
Just remember this one point, if nothing else. Homeschooling means kids are taught by someone who actually loves them and wants them to succeed and prosper in life. And there’s almost zero chance kids will find that in 13 years of government school indoctrination.
Most kids LUV when you make all of life an opportunity to learn. And all of life is filled with opportunities to increase that LUV.
So start with true love.
Remember that God gave you a spirit of power. Not fear. And I bet this rhyme won’t help you a bit:
So, addition and subtraction
Show the truth of liquefaction
When your preconceived refraction
Turns to well-designed attraction.
