Happy Pi Day
Mmm…I love pi. Blueberry, pecan, pumpkin, and the always delectable strawberry pi. I’m so glad to find out they’ve created a special Pi Day.
Not just pi in the sky
What a glorious…huh?…what did you say? Pi day is all about circles? Well, duh. Have you ever seen a square pi? Or rectangular? Or trapizoidal? Or anything but round pi? No, I didn’t think so. Huh? What’s that? The ratio of the circumference to the diameter? Well, never mind that. I’m more interested in the ratio of the slice to the saucer. The more saucer you cover up with pi, the better the ratio.
What’s that you say? Pi Day isn’t about the Pi you eat? It’s about geometry? It’s about determining sizes and it’s used in engineering and applications?
Come on, dude. Who cares what Pi is if it isn’t delicious and colorful and fun to eat?! Give me the geometry of a round saucer and a semi-triangular slice of strawberry Pi…and the engineering of a shiny, clean stainless steel fork…and maybe the application of some organic homemade whipped cream. Now, that’s a Happy Pi Day.
