Just about everywhere you look or go people seem to be mad about something. And a lot of them don’t seem to have any problem letting that anger, inside, out for everyone to see.
But when the anger inside comes out, so does the ugliness of sin.
People are walking around with chips on their shoulders. That’s what we used to call it anyway. Or you could say they’re carrying grudges in their hearts. And that would be bad enough. But at least it would be invisible to just about everyone. Trouble is, they don’t stop the anger inside from coming out. And a lot of it even leads to escalated physical harm.
But I’ll let you in on a little secret about the root cause. Selfishness.
Yeah, selfishness is at the heart of almost all anger issues. It’s difficult to manage your anger, when all you care about is how he or she or the whole world wronged you.
And you find a way to justify your own anger, when you don’t take responsibility for your actions. I’ve been dealing with this with someone I’ve known for a very, very long time. He believes I’ve wronged him in the past (issues from 20 years ago and beyond). And he has told me I’ve never apologized or shown any remorse.
I’m not gonna share the whole sob story. But I can say with a clear conscience that this person has ripped me off multiple times, left me in the lurch multiple times, and F-bombed Jesus in my house. And, to this day, he’s never once apologized or shown any remorse for his actions. Some say this is narcissism. And I don’t disagree.
But again, the root cause is selfishness. And rebellion against God.
The person I’m talking about doesn’t care what God says about anger. But, to quote from Paul’s writing in Ephesians, “be angry and do not sin.” And when Paul wrote that, he was actually quoting from one of King David’s Psalms where it said, “Be angry, and do not sin, Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still.”
But people obsess over problems, challenges, and obstacles in everyday life. That makes it easy to form a tunnel vision where the tunnel always leads to SELF.
And that leads to projecting those problems onto others. And that leads to self harm. Physical, mental, and emotional harm. You might not realize the full negative consequences of letting the anger inside out while you’re young and strong. But they’ll show up eventually. And the older you are, the more harmful the consequences.
There are even studies that say anger encourages cancer.
I’m not saying those studies are absolutely true. But it might be more than coincidence that the rising rate of cancer in the world happens at the same time there are more angry people than ever.
So, what about you? What rules in your life? Anger? Or joy? I wrote this rhyme about it years ago…
If you’re angry, just don’t sin.
Open up your heart and let God in.
He can help you work it out.
And He’ll show you what it’s all about.
Life is better, when you trust
The One who is Holy, right, and just.
Give it up, and I know…
You’ll be glad where God will help you go.

If only we could be sure that there will be global protection against certain destruction.
Well, when you listen to what scientists say, instead of politicians and activists, you discover that global warming is pseudoscience. And I’m not talking about scientists who do government sponsored experiments on lab rats, monkeys, and bacteria. But I am talking about physicists and astronomers and biologists.
They might help you see global protection differently.
For example, watch this video of Professor Ivar Giaever, the 1973 Nobel Prizewinner for Physics, tear down the global warming “religion.”
Did you catch the part where Professor Giaever mentioned how water is much conducts heat much better than CO2? And what covers 70% of planet earth? Some sort of liquid isn’t it? Oh yeah…water!
Global warming has only increased by .8 degrees in over one hundred years.
And as the good professor pointed out, that shows an amazingly stable worldwide environment we inhabit. As a Christian (yes, that’s a religion) I also understand and trust God when he says “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.”
That’s just one more example, in a book of thousands of examples, of God’s love and promises for us.
Humans can do, and have done, amazing things. But we’ll never be able to destroy planet earth. God will take care of creating a new heaven and a new earth when He’s through with this one.
If you’re not a Christian, it might sound like a fairy tale. I get that. But if you ARE a Christian, His words should bring you comfort and wisdom. The wisdom to latch onto the Truth in the Bible and be able to see pseudoscience for what it is. Rebellion against God. And that’s too bad. Because that leads to another kind of “warming” where there’ll never be any global protection.

Sounds like one of those offers “as seen on TV.” How much would you pay for Stress Be Gone? But wait! There’s so much more! And don’t forget…
Stress Be Gone is a limited time offer.
So be sure to get your three months supply today.
OK, enough with the QVC or HSN marketing. But I am gonna share a couple more natural types of remedies for much of what goes on in the world of health. Or general lack of health I should say. In fact, I have two down to earth, somewhat old-fashioned, but very effective tools to help you take back more control over your health and wellness.
Are you a little bit stressed (or a lot) by so much of what’s going on in the world right now? Yeah, it can be difficult to stay calm with all messed up stuff out there. So, I believe that’s why a lot of people turn to drugs to help ease the stress.
But what if you could make that stress be gone without drugs? And without all those possible side effects. Well, I have a suggestion. Do what my grandparents and great grandparents, and possibly yours too, used to do on a regular basis.
They grew their own medicine. That wasn’t how they looked at it back then. No, they just wanted to grow their own fruits and vegetables. And they remembered, from their grandparents and great grandparents, a lot of the natural remedies for aches and pains and bruises and cuts.
The good news is what they knew is still true.
The not so good news is, it’s not so easy and natural to just grow your own garden anymore. Especially since government indoctrination camps don’t teach anything practical, like how to grow fruit, fruits, and vegetables in a garden. So, now people don’t even know where to get the right seeds to start. And it just shouldn’t be that difficult even in this day and age here on God’s green earth.
That brings me to something I just found that helps make the getting started part a lot easier. It’s called the Medicinal Seed Kit to help you grow a natural pharmacy in your own backyard. If you’re tired of the hamster wheel of pills and procedures that never seem to get you even close to well, this might be for you.
Elgielene already does some of the things you’ll see in the video when you click on this Medicinal Seed Kit link. And she’s helped me ween myself off several prescriptions I was on due to the stroke I had last year.
Matter of fact, I just had a follow up appointment with my PCP yesterday. It was to discuss my blood work, which showed my numbers as being basically what they consider normal. And my blood pressure, without the five prescriptions, was 128/74 on my right arm and 132/78 on my left arm.
Those numbers only confirmed my ongoing daily blood pressure checks. And they confirm how it can be done without very questionable drugs and their potentially destructive side effects.
I’m not a doctor.
And I don’t play one on YouTube or any other visual media. So, feel free to take any advice or information I share with a grain of salt. But I recommend Celtic sea salt because of all the extra goodness you get with just a pinch of it. I do that several times a day.
Anyway…
Check out the Medicinal Seed Kit video and you’ll see a very personable woman explain how she came up with it. And if you have a place where you can try it out, it’s very affordable for just about anyone. I hope you at least watch the video and consider it. Because the so-called healthcare system is not your best friend when it comes to your health.
And as a doctor, who Elgielene studied under to earn her health, coach certification, said…the best healthcare is self-care. A natural pharmacy in your backyard sure fits that bill.
And here’s another natural, drug free thing that can help you calm down.
Of course, I’m bias when it comes to music. As a lifelong musician, I’ve seen (and felt) its almost medicinal benefits. And, for me, there’s nothing more exhilarating than the birth of a new song (aka: songwriting)
So, my bias will show through anytime I share anything about the health benefits of music. But that doesn’t mean I’m wrong, of course. It just means I want the information to be true. And that might skew my view. Only a little. And not to the point of telling lies. Just to the point of encouraging action steps.
OK, that being said…what’s with this whole music and stress connection? Well, let’s say you have to go to the doctor because you’ve been having kidney or bladder problems. And your doctor says he’s gonna have to operate to alleviate your pain.
What happens the minute you hear you need an operation? Yeah, exactly. Your heart rate and blood pressure go up. But you know you don’t wanna keep dealing with all that pain. So, you agree, sign the form, and schedule the operation.
Then, the day of the surgery arrives.
And you’re prepped and ready. They wheel you into the operating room. And, as your doctor smiles at you and explains the first steps, you notice he has ear buds in his ears. He sees you looking and says, “Hope you don’t mind. I’m gonna listen to Beethoven while I operate. It keeps me calm.”
How could you mind? Right? Anything that helps your surgeon stay calm and do the best job possible sounds like the right thing. But then, he tells you, “Oh, and we’re gonna give you some headphones so you can listen to the same music. And we’ll keep you awake during the operation. Sound good?”
Wait a minute. Headphones? Music?
“Uh, how about some anesthesia, doc?”
“Now, relax. Of course, we’ll administer anesthesia. But we won’t need to use as much supplementary intravenous sedation. Because the music is gonna help you calm down.”
Would you go for it? I would. Because research shows patients, who need an operation, and who listen to music, need less calming medication. And the less meds you’re on, the faster your body can get back to work on its natural ability to heal.
Plus, music helps to lower blood pressure and heart rate. And it helps boost immunity. Even as it lowers the stress hormone, adrenaline, in your blood. Oh yeah, it also helps lower cytokine interleukin-6, small proteins that can promote inflammation. And you don’t want that.
Keep in mind, I’m not talking about just any run-of-the-mill music. After all, how calm are you gonna be during your operation, if they blast some heavy metal or hip-hop into your head? No. Professionals will know your health and well-being are gonna require the good stuff. Beethoven. Or Mozart. Or Haydn.
But don’t wait till you need an operation to find out how well this works.
Calm yourself down today.
Music is an awesome way.
Make your day go right and sleep better at night.
That’s what good doctors say.

When I was a young boy, my mom saved S&H Green Stamps. They were like rewards you get on your apps these days. Stamps a shopper received at stores, gas stations, or just about anywhere housewives shopped. Yeah, I know. “Housewives” is a politically incorrect term. But it wasn’t back then. Ah…the good old days.Especially the S&H Green Stamps good old days.
Because when a woman saved enough Green Stamps, she could redeem them for all sorts of household items she found in the S&H catalog. It was like free money. I remember my mom talking with her friends and family about some clock radio or dish set she just got with her stamps. It made for fun, and sometimes lively, conversation. And they’d share the news of double stamps days at the local grocery store. Then, bam! Time to storm the grocery store.
Speaking of time, how is time like Green Stamps? And that’s not actually a trick question.
Answer. They can both be redeemed. Well, I don’t think Green Stamps can anymore. Because I don’t think there’s that kind of rewards program around anymore. But time can still be redeemed.
Dan don’t believe me? Don’t think you could redeem time and get something “for free?”
Well, you can. And guess what you get? OK, I won’t make you guess.
The answer is more time.
Yeah, I don’t mean you can turn 24 hour days into 30 hour days. But you can buy more time by making good use of the time you have here on planet Earth. In fact, you can buy time that never runs out. How cool is that?!
But you can’t just sit on your time. You gotta redeem it. Here’s how you do that. First, become a Christian. And if you’re already a Christian, you gotta “Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.” That’s getting a lot harder to do. Because more and more the world doesn’t wanna hear the name Jesus mentioned under any circumstances. So, it’s important to emphasize the “grace” and “salt” part.
I do that here on my blog. I’m redeeming the time I have left by sharing the power of God’s love and His enduring message of eternal life with anyone who cares to listen and/or read.
Now, are you paying attention to the clock? Because there’s a lot more than green stamps at stake.
“All I need is some time to hold in my hands.
All I want is some time to hold in my arms.” ~Tony Funderburk

For the past 1213 years it’s been sort of a tradition of mine to share a list I came up with about the unsung deeds of mothers everywhere. And I think I’ll keep it going for this Mother’s Day 2026. My own mom has been in Heaven for all the Mother’s Days since 2021. But I include her in this list:
To all the women who “took one for the team” as you…
- withstood the months of labor
- withstood the pains of childbirth
- fed your babies when they cried at 3 a.m.
- fixed “boo boos”
- kissed away pain
- hugged away frowns
- cooked breakfasts, made lunches, and prepared dinners
- washed clothes even after laundry was all done
- taught truth, hope, and love…and readin’, writin’, and ‘rithmetic
- fought tangled hair, torn pants, and missing shoestrings
- remembered birthdays with just the right proportion of chocolate icing to vanilla ice cream
- listened to stories of triumph, tragedy, and utter despair (mostly from teenage girls)
- made or bought costumes for every goofy event imaginable
- went to plays, sporting events, and music presentations…cheering for that one child who was obviously the natural born talent
- brought the “something borrowed” or “something blue” to the bride-to-be just at the right time
- danced the mother/son dance with the groom who had been her dragonslayer only “weeks ago” it seems
- made special homemade desserts for the kids and grandkids when they came over for Thanksgiving
- brought an elegant grace to the process of aging
- made us believe there’s a forever, a God who loves us, and a knowledge that we’ll have eternity in paradise
It’s Mothers Day 2026, but moms are timeless.
When tiny seeds take root in tiny eggs,
Then you get tiny eyes, ears, arms and legs.
Then tiny babies form inside their mother’s womb,
And then the human life begins to bloom.
I was an unborn child until the day I was born.
I lived inside my mom until the cord was torn.
Then I began to grow and grew up “big and strong”
And learned to cherish life…and so I sing this song.
(From my song, Right To Life)
I hope you remember to honor your mom this Sunday. And if you do, you should connect with me. It’s super easy. Here’s how:

Just so you know, upfront, when I share the bad news of the day, I don’t want anybody to think that I think that’s all there is. Far from it. And I can say far from it because I trust Jesus. That being said…
Check out this bad news of the day:
- Political figures charged with sex related crimes
- Man charged with aggravated assault for pushing another man in front of a subway train
- Celebrities caught with the spouse or significant other of other celebrities
- Groups of young thugs forcing their way into convenience, stores to steal
- Murder in numbers so large that no one can even keep up anymore
- Gossip and dysfunctional relationship TV shows with large audiences
- Street preachers and abortion clinic protesters violently attacked
- Etc. etc. etc.
OK, now let’s compare that bullet list to what Paul wrote to the new Roman Christians a couple of thousand years ago. He talked about how the world would get to the point that it would be…
filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful
Wow, it sounds like Paul had a direct visual connection to present day America. His description sounds just like what’s going on all across this great nation.
But just because that’s the way of the world doesn’t mean all hope is lost.
Well, it doesn’t mean that as long as you believe in and trust Jesus. Because He is the only way out of the horrible mess this world has become. And, of course, that isn’t just my opinion. He actually said that’s the case. Yeah, Jesus said that He is THE Way, THE Truth, and THE Life. Then He said…
“No man comes to the Father except through me.”
Uh-oh. That sounds like some pretty narrow-minded thinking. Hmm… there is that line in the Bible that says something about a wide path and a narrow gate. Hmm… could it be…?
So, He is the only way to turn all the bad news of the day into eternal, good news.
But that’s way more than good enough for me. How ’bout you?
I hope you agree with me. And if you do, you should connect with me. It’s super easy. Here’s how:

So many so-called pro athletes, movie stars, musicians and other artsy fartsy freakazoids are full of angst and aggression these days. And I’m not saying they don’t have a good reason.
But I DO say their angst and aggression sure sounds stupid most of the time.
And I’m talking about the ones who make millions of dollars for just playing with a ball, or memorizing lines, or looking good on a screen, or for recording some lunatic lyrics with a catchy beat. Yeah, ironically, those who make the most money seem to do the loudest complaining about the free enterprise system we have here in America.
Talk about biting the hand that feeds you. Sheesh.
Sorry, but they just don’t have a good reason for being so full of dark angst and aggression. And don’t try to tell me they’re just looking out for the little guy, you and me. Puhleez.
I know a lot of those pop icons would call me lame. Or a Bible-thumping-do-gooder. And I know a lot of them like to poke fun at Christians and say they have no grasp on reality. They love to attempt to condescend with statements, like, “Go ahead and pray to your little friend in the sky.“ But I really don’t care.
I prefer to remain a hope-filled optimist.
Because the Christian message is true (an overwhelming amount of evidence says it is). So, I’m already on the winning team. My so-called “little friend” just happens to be the Head Coach of all creation. And He will lead my team to victory over ALL other opposing teams.
The leader of my pack is not only the True Alpha male. He’s also the Omega Man! And that helps me sing and write angst and aggression free. I gotta tell ya, that’s a huge boost to my endorphins and a significant reduction to any potential cortisol issues. In other words, Jesus is the ultimate stress reducer. He’s the cure. And I’m just a supplement. But I’m blessed to even be that.
And here’s what I recommend for your health. Don’t watch the TV or cable news. Filter out the mainstream from all your social media and internet connections. Stick with me, of course. And, by all means, skip, the namby-pamby, ne’er-do-well, yada-yada rants made by privileged celebrities who think they’re all that plus the bag of chips.
Your body, soul, and spirit will thank you. And don’t be surprised if you start smiling more.
When I’m being optimistic
I know I’ll be fine.

For as long as I can remember, there’s always been this expression that boys will be boys. And of course, that got extended into men will be men. And it’s always meant that boys are gonna do boy stuff. So, naturally, men will do men stuff. And boy, how discombobulated everything is now. Right? Because nowadays the media would have you believe men will be whatever they feel like being.
And that proves what the Bible says men will be eventually.
Just in case you’d like a quick reminder of what it says, the apostle Paul wrote to his spiritual son, Timothy, that men will be:
- lovers of themselves,
- lovers of money,
- boasters,
- proud,
- blasphemers,
- disobedient to parents,
- unthankful,
- unholy,
- unloving,
- unforgiving,
- slanderers,
- without self-control,
- brutal,
- despisers of good,
- traitors,
- headstrong,
- haughty,
- lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God
Yikes! That’s a terrible sounding list that I never wanna be on. But in just the past week alone, I’ve seen video examples, on social media, of just about every one of those descriptions. The most recent example, a few minutes ago, was a young woman, who was proud of her abortion, talking with a woman who was on a campus trying to show young women they had alternatives to abortion. You could see the defiance in the young woman’s face as she said, “Yeah, I’m ending my bloodline. And I’m proud of that.” Then she and a friend high-fived each other.
Just that one person alone fit several of the descriptions from Paul’s letter.
Another sad point to that is how, in these latter days, men will be very anti-God, but so will women. That’s right here in America…
In the land of the fees,
And the home of the slave,
Where the Savior still sees
And still says to be brave;
‘Cause the time will still come,
And it just might be soon,
When it all ends for some,
The astute and immune,
Who believe in the Truth
That still strengthens and frees,
And will free us, like Ruth,
From this land of the fees. © 2022
Till next time…

I’ve been encouraging anybody who would read what I write and listen to what I say to remain optimistic in tough times. But I don’t just say the words. I also share why it’s not just good advice. It’s important to your health down to the marrow of your bones.Remain optimistic in tough times because the alternative should be unthinkable.
The subject came up in my thoughts this morning for a particularly personal reason. Today, April 17, 2026 marks the one year “anniversary” of a stroke that challenged me to follow my own advice. But I believe I can honestly say that, despite challenges, I never dreamed I would face, I have remained optimistic in the tough times of the past year.
I won’t tell you what all the challenges were/are. But they include a left arm and hand that won’t hold things very well without wavering in the air. And a left leg that refuses to take normal steps during a walk. Plus most things on my left side operate with much less efficiency than they did a year ago. That includes my left lung and blood circulation on that side. And probably the weirdest thing that happened was the development of a neurogenic bladder.
Most of the information you’ll find on a neurogenic bladder deals with incontinence, urgency, etc. But what happened to me is something they call an under active bladder. And that means the nerves that alert you to the need to go and allow you to start a stream and go don’t work now. So, I have to insert a catheter four or five times a day, to empty out. Not my idea of a fun time.
And I’ve only shared this personal information with you because I hope it helps somebody understand how crucial it is to remain optimistic, even during rough times like what I described. I know it isn’t always easy. But it’s always necessary. And it’s always doable when you remember that, if you believe and trust in Jesus, one day, sooner than you might imagine, you will see Him…
Face To Face
When we’re born into this world,
We’re empty-handed.
We can’t speak, and we can barely even see.
As we grow we see this life,
In which we landed…
Is a thread of well-designed complexity.
Each and every one of us
Had a beginning…
And, so very small, a spark of life sufficed.
Then we turned away from God
And started sinning…
And that put us face to face with Jesus Christ.
Face to face with Truth…face to face with Life.
Yeah, the Way to paradise is face to face
With the One who died and who lives inside.
Jesus Christ even loves us face to face.
When we leave this world, we’re
Leaving empty-handed.
We can go to that eternal, perfect place.
When we make the choice of Life,
We won’t be stranded.
And we’ll get to see our Savior’s loving face. © 2020 TF

As long as I can remember there have been “peace talks” and “peace agreements” and “peace accords” all over the world. Trouble is…I’ve never gotten the feeling that the world is at peace. Have you noticed that?
For as long as I can remember (and that’s a lot longer than it used to be) there have been wars. We’ve been fortunate here in America. We haven’t seen actual war on our soil for a long time. But I figure it’s only a matter of time. And I believe you can attribute the lack of peace to individuals not willing to allow the peace of God to rule in their hearts. Here’s what I mean…
The peace of God isn’t based on arbitrary human emotions and so-called peace talks.
It’s based on Truth and Life. When you understand you had a beginning designed by the Creator of all things, you can start to understand how important Truth and Life are. And it’s basic. It’s fundamental. It’s simple. Truth exists because God exists. And God is the source of all life. You can know that you know. And knowing can give you a peace you can’t find anywhere else. A peace you can really talk about.
Unfortunately, most people don’t give a rip about that peace. They’d rather zig-zag through their days looking for answers based on their preconceived notions. Or follow their flawed learning process (translation: public schooling) and live esoteric, experiential lives. The trouble with that path is…it leads to nowhere. And it often takes dark and dangerous turns.
You can call me “one of those wacky Christians” if you like. I’ve heard it before. But one thing a Christian has that no unbeliever will ever have is: the peace of God. It’s a peace beyond what you’re able to just imagine. And if anyone, who wants that peace, talks to God and asks Him for it, He’s willing to give it to them. Do you want it?
The One True Way To Peace
Judge me; I need to be judged.
Correct me; whenever I’m wrong.
Save me from thinking my thoughts.
I’ve lived in them way too long.
Show me what I need to see.
Tell me what I have to hear.
Give me a voice of wisdom.
Thank You for taking my fear.
And I have to trust that my God is just.
And I feel my boldness increase.
I’m a dissident, and I’m an instrument.
For the one true Way to peace.
Search me for the deeper things.
Fill me from Your living well.
Free me from the ways of man.
Take me off the path to Hell
Listen to my fervent prayer.
Bless me so that I can bless.
Change me with Your mighty Word.
Spare me with Your tenderness.
Chorus
Make me to always understand
I’m only mighty in Your mighty Hand.
