Dazed and confused. You could use that phrase to describe somebody who just survived a car crash. Or maybe somebody who’s just lost a loved one. And you could even use it to describe most people who get their information (and base their worldview) mostly from the well-known news sources.
Who wouldn’t be dazed and confused with all that misinformation?
Well, for starters…anyone who seeks, gets, and implements wisdom and discernment. And I said “for starters”, but that’s basically it.
Without the ability to use wisdom and discernment, you’re at the mercy of anyone who’s able to put cohesive thoughts together. And I’m talking about cohesive thoughts that might sound good, on the surface, but can actually damage your critical thinking abilities.
Because you’ll most likely start to fall for the narrative rather than even listen to what’s being said.
For example…I just watched a short video, on Twitter, where a big guy told a group of young guys with Trump t-shirts they were “brainwashed.” And the subject of Joe Biden came up. Someone mentioned how Biden said “if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or for Trump, then you ain’t black.”
Of course, the big guy didn’t believe Biden said that. Because he’s a willing victim of the news source narrative. So he hasn’t been listening.
So, when the young guys pulled up a video of Biden saying exactly what they said he said, they played it for the big guy.
And boy, did he look surprised.
Don’t be that big guy.
And just so you know…I’m not a Trump fan. But I’m definitely NOT voting for the morons on the Democratic ticket. So, those two little tidbits of info don’t tell you who I AM voting for. But they DO give you some insight into how wisdom and discernment is implemented.
OK…that’s enough of a political rant for now. And maybe it all means nothing to you. But if you know someone it might help, share this with them. At least if you care about their here and now…and…their eternity.
Don’t be daze and confused.
Don’t be mentally abused.
There’s a way to give yourself the upper hand.
Put some food in your brain,
Food for thought that will sustain
And maintain you as each day you take a stand.
