My bedtime stories need some illustrations…so…
Isn’t it a writer’s prerogative to change his mind? Oh wait…that’s supposed to be “woman’s”…not writer’s. Well, whatever. I’ve changed my mind about how I’m gonna write and publish this series of bedtime stories. Instead of writing every day of August…I’m gonna write a story, do the illustrations, format for publishing, and publish.
Then rinse and repeat. I expect to have between 5 and 10 new books for kids by the end of August. It’s a big challenge, but I love how much it encourages me write and create. In recent months my process has been seriously bogged down.
I don’t know if it’s merely life’s extenuating circumstances…or my muse serving me Irish Coffee (accent on the Irish part) instead of my preferred Americano. Regardless…it’s so refreshing (creatively speaking) to have the words flowing. There’s a purpose…a plan…a platform…and it makes my brain feel perky. (a nice grouping of P words, don’t ya think)
I hope you’ll stay with me during this writing adventure…
