Do you ever wake up with muddled thoughts and heavy eyelids? Of course. Who hasn’t…right? Well, what do you do about it? Lots of coffee and comfort food? Brisk walk in fresh morning air? Dunk your face in a bowl full of ice water? Or…maybe you sit in your favorite chair and wait for it to pass? Whatever your method is, I’d like to suggest one more idea which could be better than all the rest…
…God’s word.
If you’ve never spent much time in God’s word, you may not realize how much He thinks of you. It’s true. And it makes sense. After all…He created you. Once upon a time, you didn’t even exist. Then He put your spirit into a tiny cell that formed from the DNA of your mother and father. He did that at the very moment that cell formed. And everything about you was inside that one, tiny cell. And God had plans for you to grow up and discover how much He loves you. And He had hopes you’d want to tell others. Yep, you may not realize it, but all of that can be found in God’s word.
I shared all that with you because I believe you can deal with muddled thoughts more efficiently by leaning on God’s word. Lean on His understanding and not your own. If He says you can do all things through Him…you can. Period. Don’t let those negative self-doubts creep in and push out what God says about you. When you find your thoughts stumbling around in the dark, open a Bible and let the Creator of the universe talk to you. Then, spend a little time in prayer thanking Him for all His love toward you.
If there’s any reason you don’t believe it can work for you, write to me and tell me. I’ll do whatever I can to help you through those…
Muddled Thoughts
One place too many…
Three days, forever.
No chance, not any…
These ties must sever.
Intent is noble…
Desire, contagious
The need is global…
Real life, outrageous.
Cash in, no forward…
Shut down production.
Form lines, no foreword…
Avoid induction.
This time tomorrow…
Ahead, not over.
One place for sorrow…
One place for clover.
